At the single-member constituency No. 159 in the Sumy region, with 100% of the protocols counted, Andrii Derkach, self-promoted people’s deputy won with 40.65% (26,826 votes).
In second place in this district is a candidate from the party “Sluga Narodu” – Dmitry Shevchenko – 23.23% of voters (15 329 votes) voted for him.
For the first time in the history of independent Ukraine, the majority in the Verkhovna Rada receives one party. “Sluga Narodu” holds 254 people’s deputies in parliament. The closest to the indicator of 226 votes (such a minimum is needed to make a decision) was the “Party of Regions”, which in 2012 had a fraction of 185 deputies.
