On the Valentine’s Day, youth of Hlukhiv organized a charity fair, and Kyiv showmen held a party for students.
In the afternoon, at the HNPU, students organized a charity fair in support of the newborn deaf man David Krasnyak, who urgently needs heart surgery. As noted by the specialist of the educational department of the HNPU Liliya Vysotska, charity is one of the best manifestations of love for one’s neighbor. At the fair, sweets were sold, and tea and coffee were given as a gift. Students were happy to join the initiative.
– I decided that even a little help would benefit a sick boy. Therefore, it was here, and not in the store, that I bought sweets,” says fourth-year student Maria Voitenko.
At this fair, it was possible to collect a small amount – only UAH 300, but the students, together with the educational department, plan to hold such charity fairs for the faculties and donate more money.
– The charity events are not new for us, they are held at the faculties too. I remember that last year, on the Valentine`s Day, they also collected funds for a sick child,” says student Katerina Shokolenko.
And in the evening the student youth expected the traditional blow-out Valentine’s Day Party! If in previously a disco was organized near the central building of the university, this year the students danced in the spacious hall of the 5th Block.
The day before, the people’s deputy Andrii Derkach visited the dormitories of the pedagogical university (the purpose of the visit was to discuss the course of the repair with the leadership of the university) and at the same time he asked the student activists what kind of holiday the youth wants on the Valentine`s Day. This year they decided to hold a disco inside, because it is not always comfortable to dance in the cold outside. Traditionally, the people’s deputy helped with entertainment and invited metropolitan groups to Hlukhiv.
The Fifth Block had nothing to do with the studying that day, the rule “Entry only by student card” did not work – on February 14th there was an atmosphere of entertainment, to which schoolchildren, students of all educational institutions of the city, and even young families with babies came like moths to a flame. In the lobby you could refresh yourself with coffee, tea and goodies and take a selfie in the photo zone in the Love is style… But on the second floor in the former dining room there was, as they say, “real thing”.
– I never thought that you could make a heavy action no worse than in a nightclub. Honestly, even music is better here than in our entertainment venues. Local DJs need to learn how to warm up the audience,” student of faculty of philology Katerina shares her impressions.
The metropolitan performers have been keeping the youth moving for several hours with the disco lights, haze, confetti, balloons and drive in the constant rhythm of the dance. Although, the girls from the pedagogical university warmed up the audience. The resident DJ FM MC Andrey Kharkovets with his positive set up at first a little shy youth to break away and attracted them to interesting competitions with gifts. At this time, everyone could take a photo in the thematic professional photo-zone. The headliner of the evening was a young and ambitious performer “U.G.”, the dance floor was rocked by Dj Proxor, and the led-freak show “Pandorum” and “Robocop Show” made the action truly magical and bright.
Rumors that unbelievable things appear in the university spread on live to social networks, in texts and photos in personal messages among friends and acquaintances, and at 9 pm Valentine’s Day Party reached its peak – the dancing was already unstoppable.
– To be honest, at first I thought that the event at the university would be so-so. You understand that this is an educational institution, not a club. Well, they will make some kind of school disco… But every hour my opinion changed, because the pros worked. says eleventh grader Vladimir.
