The Office of the Attorney General is obliged to submit information to the Unified Register of Pre-Trial Investigations to establish the facts about the deliberate targeted genocide of the Ukrainian people due to the underfunding of the medical field. The corresponding application was submitted by the Member of Parliament Andrii Derkach, is reported on his Telegram channel.
In his statement, the Member of Parliamet demands from the Office of the Attorney General to insert the information about the committed criminal offense in the Unified Register of Pre-trial Investigations, take the investigation of the case under his purview and report on the results of the consideration of the application.
“According to the Ministry of Health of Ukraine, the State Budget of Ukraine for 2021 provides only half of the necessary funding, which will have an extremely negative impact on the provision of services to the population in the medical field and will entail numerous victims from the pandemic, “writes Andrii Derkach in a statement.
Derkach also notes that the approved budget for 2021 provides for 2 million more expenses for servicing debts than for the healthcare sector. And this is in the context of the COVID-19 pandemic, not to mention the annual increase in deaths from cardiovascular diseases or oncology, the treatment of which in Ukraine is at an extremely low level.
As previously reported, the media published an interview with Minister Marchenko, in which he said that he knowingly cut the budget of the medical sector.
“You cannot manipulate these things and determine that this field (medicine) should be a priority. If we accepted the budget proposed by my colleague, Minister of Health Stepanov, we would have to take these funds from somewhere, for example, get into the pockets of teachers or retirees…”, –Derkach quotes an interview with Marchenko.
According to Andrii Derkach, in an interview, Marchenko actually issued a “full confession”, saying that he knowingly cut the budget of the medical field, without paying attention to the global pandemic and the internal indicators of COVID-19 disease.
“These facts, which must be verified through investigation, testify to a deliberate, purposeful genocide of the Ukrainian people, for the so-called further “reduction of the budgetary burden”, – notes Derkach.
Also, as Andrii Derkach noted, Marchenko’s actions contravene the Constitution of Ukraine, which determines that Ukraine is an independent, social, legal state, in which a person, his life, health and safety are recognized as the highest social value, as well as the fact that the state is responsible in front of a person for their activities.
