Andriy Derkach – Deputy of Verkhovna Rada declared on Radio Liberty that his lawyers are preparing a lawsuit because he was not included in one of the parliamentary committees.
“Probably, officially this will be a lawsuit against inclusion in the committee. Lawyers determine who will be the defendant in this lawsuit – there is a working group (on preparation of the start of parliament’s work – ed.), and also there is the Verkhovna Rada, ” said Derkach.
“ I wrote a statement to the budget committee, because at one time we made a working group to verify the spendings of technical international assistance. We started it, but did not complete it , ” emphasized the deputy.
Andriy Derkach was elected as a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada in the extraordinary elections on July 21 in the district No. 159 in the Sumy region. He was as a self-nominated candidate, gaining more than 40% of the popular vote, outperforming Dmitry Shevchenko ,the representative from the “Party of the Servant of the People” (more than 23% of the vote) and Michel Tereshchenko ,Mayor of Hlukhiv (more than 8%).
