The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has abolished preferential work experience for Chernobyl victims and teachers. Now, early retirement is impossible for them. Such innovations are legislated in the pension reform, the second reading of which took place in Parliament on October 3.
It should be noted that the teachers were given this privilege in the Law on Education, which was adopted a month ago. How these conflicting provisions will work is not entirely clear.
Moreover, doctors, metallurgists, miners, chemists, social workers, pilots and other categories also fell under the abolition of ” preferential work experience”. The exception is made only for servicemen and law enforcement officers.
288 deputies voted for this reform. The deputies from Sumy region, in particular, Oleg Medunitsa, Alexander Sugonyako, Nikolay Lavrik and Igor Molotok are among them. Andrii Derkach did not vote, Vladislav Bukharev was absent during the voting.
